Love the colors in that shot, Sas
Did a little wandering myself this afternoon....just around my yard.....pondering life, looking for interesting colors and reminiscing about Ivoryman. These two Schrades are from his collection.

Beautiful Charlie.
Thought the morning glories were awfully pretty this morning so I put my new Al Mar next to them.

Yep. Those are cool too. Call me a hobo, but I'm a sucker for a knife with a fork on it.
That's my Etsy store where I sell old knives and sometimes handmade knife accessories to support my knife habbit. Thanks for looking my friend.

Re: Knife Photography
Hanging out with my old man this weekend talking about knives and he pulled this old slimline out of his desk drawer that he bought in this condition in 1971 at an estate sale. Someone got their money’s worth, it seems.

Great photos, fellows.
Summer really is finally ending in my area. Here on the second day of Autumn I was admiring the fallen pear leaves in my garden.

Beautiful shots Q and Mel.
Q, beautiful knife and I like the coral background.
Mel, those golden leaves make a fine background for that stag beauty. Is that a Bulldog?

Re: Knife Photography
I had my neighbor post some pictures for me but It took a long time for him to figure it out. I was in hopes that I could learn but by the time he got these pictures posted I think both of us were pretty frustrated. I just don't know how people do it but I'm not a computer person. I have several knives I would love to post pictures of but unless I get some training it won't happenjohnny twoshoes wrote: ↑Mon Jul 11, 2011 10:09 pm TF, Very nice pic.![]()
Jerry,
I hired a professional to teach me, so I couldn't have done this on my own. When I first started adding pics to this site, they were less than satisfactory, but I wanted to share my collection, as time went on I got a little better, but I never got a consistent product from picture to picture.

Re: Knife Photography
Lots of good looking knives and great photos, everyone!
Once you learn, gpadgett, you’ll find out it’s really easy. Maybe you could watch a YouTube video to show you how.

I learn so much by looking at the photos of others. Ivoryman was a major inspiration, of course, but I really appreciate Squach picking up the slack after his passing and keeping this thread going with a steady stream of great pics of a wide variety of cool knives.
Still strolling my own yard looking for ways to highlight and capture the beauty of otherwise commonplace or mundane aspects; things that I see so often I tend to overlook them. Trying to look at them again with fresh eyes as if for the very first time. Here’s what my observations revealed to me this morning while I was carrying and coon-fingering my Case Dogleg Jack Glennbad mod:

Great photos, Q! Excellent capture on that spider web, too! Looks like caught it and the sunlight at just the right moment!
