The knife pics are probably my favorite aspect of this group. Definitely enjoying the photos. Here’s another from the weekend.

What knife is this with the jade scales? Looks killer!
It's a QSP Parrot and the handles are natural/jade G-10.

Thanks Doglegg.

The rain let up for a while this afternoon so we took the opportunity to get out for a walk. A fine mist was still falling, you can see it on the blades and bolsters.

It's a Russian Soviet era folder. I bought it from a guy on ebay whose uncle was a Bulgarian railroad worker and had traveled extensively throughout the Soviet Union.

Evidently this uncle was a collector of knives because this vendor had quite a few knives from eastern block countries. I bought several from him. Waiting for a package to arrive from Sofia, Bulgaria can test your patience. ::nod::

Definitely an awesome story and very cool piece. Sounds like I need to expand my horizons!
