Anyone have "Short-Line Fever"? It's better than Covid-19

The Camillus Cutlery Company was one of the oldest knife manufacturers in the United States with roots dating back to 1876. The company manufactured Camillus branded knives and was a prolific contractor for other knife brands up until its last days in 2007 when the company filed for bankruptcy.

And here they are! It's a Camillus 1 that has seen some use. Lock-up isn't the best, and the blade could use a little work on an oil stone (I'm not at all confident in my ability to properly sharpen a hawkbill). But it looks pretty dang good, and it is my first short-line!

Thanks for the kind words, y'all. Now I'd like to find a short-line 27. Seems that's an elusive one.

Here's the timber scribe.

It came out of MT, and I am betting it's seen a lot of use in forestry. I presume the deep gouge in the mark side scale may have been someone's way of identifying it as theirs.

There's a tiny bit of work to be done. I need to apply mineral oil to the handles, and remove some rust that apparently was left behind from a poor rust removal job in years past.

What is amazing is the size. I thought timber scribes were huge knives. The knife next to it is a Swiza D04; which is basically what happens when an old Swiss clock and watchmaker hires a bunch of ex-Wenger staff and starts to make knives. It is a tiny bit bigger than the 93mm SAK (advertised as 95mm).
