First Stainless Cutlery Co. N.Y. City Knife I've owned, this is Solid Aluminum construction scales with no liners and nice machine work. Measures 3-1/8" closed. Stainless Steel etch on mark side of main with C.P. Murphy etch on pile side of main, pile side of blade tangs stamped with a single S.

I don't consider myself an expert and I don't want to offend anyone, but I have some doubts about the authenticity of this knife. Moreover, on several grounds at once, although I may be wrong.

I wouldn't want anyone to be offended either. I think a good conversation could be had about the knife.

The aluminum construction looks perfect for its age, but if the knife hasn't been used in all that time, I suppose that could be true.
My doubts are caused by the blades. Too sharp edges of planes and poor quality of surface treatment. Too good preservation of etching (considering age) with disgusting quality of printing (crooked fonts). I think that these blades were regrinded and re-etched. I have already seen similar knives on this forum, and they already raised doubts in me. It seems to me that this is the work of one man.

Having gone through the thread I find the etch to be quite similar on all the knives that have it.
The tang stamp is different in some cases in that some say "Stainless Cutlery Co., New York City.".
While other stamps say "Stainless Cutlery Co., N. Y. City".
Others may see it differently that me.

It would be nice to see a few more good pics. From the top and bottom with blades closed . The C.P. Murphy blade etch and grind don’t look right for that frame and period that that stamp was used . Don’t remember Camillus using a Sabre type grind on a secondary blade like that but could be wrong .
Clark 23 if you wouldn’t mind and are reading this would you be willing to post a few more pics? Appreciate it .
