Jerryd that's a dandy little sized knife there. It looks similar to a Case 087 just right for getting in to tight places. Does that list that you have that shows the Sears stamps like handforged and made in USA also tell whether Schrade or Ulster made a particular stamp?jerryd6818 wrote:Nothing fancy. Just a Sears Craftsman 9541 (made by Schrade) to throw on my little pile of medium jacks. Sure do love these little devils.

I posted this one in the Case thread also, but thought I wouldid drop it in here too, seeing as how I am kinda fond of it...It'seems a 10 dot 1970 Case 6452 congress, half stops on all blades, two backsprings. 3 1/2" closed...Snappy all around with some real unique bone..
Thanks to Steve for selling me this one, at a really fair price too..

This NOS Bulldog is very satisfying. Walks and talks with the best. Very positive half stops on both blades and a closing snap that will rattle your teeth. Excellent F&F.

These two came today.
A PAL early WW2 Electrician's knife (sans bail) and an ATLAS jack from Japan, probably from the 70's.

Both of my latest additions are related to Virginia hardware stores. First is a Camillus advertising knife for Mitchell-Powers Hardware Co. of Bristol. The second is a printing block used by Charles Leonard Hardware Co. of Petersburg to advertise Sterling razor hones. The second picture of the printing block is a mirror image to make it easier to read.

Great finds Dave! That home town stuff is something I find very interesting to research. It's always fun for me to be able to connect a local item I have found with the history of it's origin.
I have safely navigated my way home again and as I suspected my mail basket was over flowing. A veritable cornucopia of knives I will have to do this in two maybe three installments. So bear with me here, it might take awhile to get them all up. AnyWho here is installment #1.
