SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

I could buy a lot of knives if I had $1 for every mile I have walked looking at this view......my dog's rear. I never have to make a decision about which way to go if we come to Frost's proverbial 2 roads diverging, he makes it for me.

Mine try the same thing Ike, but sometimes I go the other way. They soon realize I’m not following them. Then here they come, on the run! They catch up with me, get their praise, then they’re off in the lead again.

They usually sleep at the foot of the bed on the floor then jump in when I leave in the morning. They were so sound asleep I wish I would have had video when the camera flashed and they realized I was home. :D

I used to have a dog that would wait until he thought I was sleeping, then he would put just one foot on the bed sort of testing the waters. After a minute or so with no reaction from me, another paw would slowly be placed on the bed resulting in another long wait. It might take 5 minutes before he eased himself fully on to the bed. I often pretended to sleep so I could careful watch his antics. And I did let him sleep on the bed after all his careful work. I assume he thought he had me fooled.

Man do I need my own personal pet!
Mayo Clinic just released a study on doggo therapy, for people that suffer from fibromyalgia (yours truly). Looks like there is strong showings that pets really do help treat, provide therapy, and speed up healing. We've known that to be true for years, and mayo is finally going to prove it.
Kudos to them!
And now I need to get my own pet cat :D .
I would love to share my life with a lab, or german shepherd, but just can't make it work. I don't have the energy, or money to take care of a pup, so a cat it tis. Heck, I love cat's n' dog's either how!
I was eventually going to adopt a stray kitty, black tabby or ragdoll, now I definitely am going too. Just need to get me personal life in order before I bring my new friend home.

Garry, that is a funny story. My dog Kobi use to sneak up on an oversized foot stool and sleep there, but he would only do it when he thought no one would notice. Isn’t is odd the boundaries dog set for themselves in their minds?
Willy, I hear you on the dogs. I avoided having a dog for years and had only cats. I can say with no hesitation that I much prefer dogs. Dogs have been good therapy for me as well. The key is to get one that matches your energy level. Older dogs can be wonderful to own and don’t require as much constant attention. With no offense to cat lovers, there is just something about the companionship of a dog that is hard to put into words, it is a bond that is like a deeply abiding friendship.

Mark, You make an absolutely critical point. Match the energy levels. For the happiness of the dog and the human.
