I have no idea, it may be metal with a celluloid wrap as many of the shell handle Imperials were, I just think they are pretty.Ivoryman wrote:Cool Imperial Big H. the scales are cool too, what material is that? Nice blade combo, like that one, good score.
Congrats Bomba, yeah that 14 autumn gold is a looker. My fav of your haul. Hope you didn't put yourself in the doghouse on that one. Nice.
J1890 that is some fine bone. Love the camel bone. In any color too. Good ones all.

No doubt, definitely a looker, and you put the perfect backdrop in there to go with it. Nice shot. Let me know what that is when it comes. Congrats.bighomer wrote:I have no idea, it may be metal with a celluloid wrap as many of the shell handle Imperials were, I just think they are pretty.Ivoryman wrote:Cool Imperial Big H. the scales are cool too, what material is that? Nope, never...Old Hunter wrote:Any of you folks ever bought a "back-up" knife?? OH
Lol. On some patterns I really like, I have bought backups for my backups. I’m a sick man though.Old Hunter wrote:Haven't bought a knife (new or used) in a few months. For typically inexpensive patterns, yes. I have two of the 34OT (my first knife; the second is backup) and the 27 (lots always have them, and it's my favorite work knife; I have 3 27s and about a half-dozen TL-29 types; including two actual TL-29s), and I always buy two or three of the same Morakniv model when I get one (since a 511 is under $10). And quite often, when I see a good knife (usually Colonial or one of the Swiss brands; quite often with some kind of advertising on it) at a really cheap price in a rather large quantity; I will most often buy two or three of them at a time; one to use, one for my collection, and one as backup to the user. There's Camillus 27s (and simlar) scattered across my EDC rotation, toolboxes, tool bags, and I think there's one in a dresser drawer.Old Hunter wrote:Haven't bought a knife (new or used) in a few months.
