Iman, that first shot of the beautiful Robeson nestled in the branches of a spruce (?) made me literally sit up and take notice. A wonderful knife.

Re: Knife Photography
Thanks a lot Quick. I don't know if it's spruce or fir, one of the two, but it came down in the last snow/wind storm and blocked the trail. They just cut it up a few days ago and left all the small branches. Looked good for a photo op. Thanks a lot for the compliment and appreciate your feedback always on the photography and knives. Thanks again and great day to ya.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Wed Mar 08, 2023 6:19 pm Iman, that first shot of the beautiful Robeson nestled in the branches of a spruce (?) made me literally sit up and take notice. I-Man, it's always a treat to see beautiful knives so expertly photographed!
The Case looks to be a 62032 of 1965-1969 vintage; am I correct?

You're too kind, but don't know about expertly photographed. Just put them down and pull out the cell phone, maybe zoom and let it auto focus. Point and shoot. But thanks for the compliment. And I see in those pics it looks like no dots, but actually has dots. These are just the smallest dots I have ever seen on a Case stamp. 1972 with 8 dots. Here's the zoom in and pics without as much glare so you can see them. Thanks again.
And thanks to you Squach and tvic too. Appreciate it.

Re: Knife Photography
No, it's listed as "Black Synthetic" so I assume it is Delrin. I know some of the older Case knives listed as synthetic were celluloid (like the red tribal set I have from the '80s) but I don't believe Case uses celluloid anymore. I could be wrong though.

Charlie, I think your knife looks unusually refined due to the scales.

Re: Knife Photography
The scales are burlap micarta. The blade is acid washed 01 high carbon tool steel, the bolsters and liners are copper. Made in Solengin Germany.Quick Steel wrote: ↑Sat Mar 11, 2023 8:25 pm Charlie, I think your knife looks unusually refined due to the scales.![]()

Beautiful shot of a gorgeous knife J. Love those bones, the blade, the pattern. Nice curls too.
You too Sasquach, beautiful burlap and patina on a sweet spear.
Here's a piece of Mammoth tusk for making a fish hook, some step by step pics anywho.

Nicely shot sequence, Iman. Will the hook be used or be a decorative piece?
