A couple of Schrade/N.Y. U.S.A. Uncle Henrys came to day. For the last month of shopping various sites and ebay auctions for OT and UH folders, these are the only two UHs I've seen with that tang stamp.

I believe that means they were made pretty soon after the walden era, not common stamps to find for that period.

Treefarmer I like that black & green cell imperial There's just not enough 4" square bolster stockman frame clip & pen jacks around.

Yeah, from everything I've read for OTs and UHs the stamp chronological order is Schrade/Walden, Schrade/N.Y. U.S.A., then Schrade(+)/USA model#.

Finding a lot of OTs with the Schrade/N.Y. U.S.A stamp, just not any UHs.

Finally received my ´92 Winchester 1936 Winchester toothpick. I doubt it has ever been used but it clearly has a few handle marks. I took a chance for it on an online auction after I lost out on another knife so didn´t do much research beforehand but I am happy happy happy!

I always check out "Mail Call" and once in a while I get to participate.
Been anticipating these for a few days, they came all the way from Kansas thanks to "stockman". I'm well pleased with these knives and if you'll notice the blades all appear to full, if they've been sharpened somebody did it right as far as protecting the blades.
The Purina knife reminded me that as a little boy, we had "Checker board feed" delivered to the farm. I remember the 5 cent Coke machines and how hard it was to get the older folks to buy one for me, most of the time. The Winchester Trapper is very nice, most say it was made for Bluegrass by Queen and then there are some other opinions .

Fantastic old knives. The frame on that Winchester/Bluegrass/Queen trapper sure is the spitting image of a Queen #19 trapper. I predict you'll thoroughly enjoy it.

This Italian Maserin arrived today. Blade nice and tight, sharp, nice half stop. Wood handle. Less than 10 bucks. Impressive.

Here's one you don't see everyday. A Queen #40 Electrician's knife with Winterbottom composite handles. This one was made in 1976. Sorry for the bad pic....bad lighting.

I like that Queen Electrician! I guess I've never seen that pattern Queen before . Those Delrin Winterbottom handles always catch my eye.

bdev: 4in closed/blade 3 1/8. The blade was a tad stiff on opening but a little oil fixed that right up. They also have an extensive range of knives at varying price points including pocket knives with carbon fiber scales. [ about $65]

EZ open Case wharnie mini trapper ... very unusual color, snaps scary hard - had to do it (it was a limited run ... a guy on amazon has a few more if anybody's interested):

What's the unusual Mini Trapper color? Looks like Cantaloupe. Yellowish on the edges, pink orange in the middle. Cool shield, cool EZ, nice blade. Nice knife.

Picked up these 4 fixed blades with no idea on the makers....
One is a Western Scout Knife but the blade is jacked up and missing 2 leather rings on the back.

A Pal, a Finnish, and one stamped "B" (almost looks homemade).

Thanks KnifeSlinger. IMO it is a very good knife: extra sharp blade out of the....well there was no box; fine walk and talk, handsome scales.

On a well done knife I give a test that few knives can pass. That the CC did not "pass" means little; 99% of knives can't. It is this. I close my eyes and lightly and slowly run a finger from bolster to handle. I am determining if I can detect where the two parts are joined. Once in a great while the transition is imperceptible. Cannot feel the transition is very exceptional. The joining of the bolster with the scales is otherwise fine on the CC. Its not a defect, just not quite a perfection. I like the CC very much.
