And Grohmann even makes a slippie in that pattern. Mmmm, it's a beauty.

FYI....this locking blade folder is not a "slippie", by definition. Unless I misunderstand the terms?

Thanks fellers. I had to get it all the way from Australia to get a decent price. Even after adding the shipping to Grant, then the shipping from him to me, it was cheaper than buying it from here in the States or especially from Canada.

Regarding the L F & C Cattle knife above, did they make all of their own knives or were some or even many, contract knives ? For this knife i am thinking of Winchester.

Great looking unique piece Jerry, love that curve, and the blade spine, ergonomic handle etc. not to mention the cool wood and jimping, grind. Very cool LB. Like to try a Canadian specimen.

I don't know a great deal about L.F.&C., there's still a faint bit of Universal etched on the main blade, I assumed that was "their" marking. If someone has more info, feel free to educate me....

"Universal" is LF&C's trademark.

That whole thing still astounds me. It is approximately 1700 miles from where I live to Pictou, Nova Scotia, Canada where Grohmann knives are made. It just boggles my mind that the knife could travel approximately 20,000 miles, pass through God knows how many hands and two changes of currency but still cost significantly less than if it had came straight here from Canada. ::shrug::

Rube Goldberg shipping I guess. I found one through Optics Planet, says free shipping, so I ordered and wasn't charged extra. Straight from Canada, free shipping, but says 24 days to get it to me. I can wait. To be continued.

OHO knife gets the most use.
RFP and Watch pocket get the worry stones.

And maybe Case Chestnut Peanut.
