Here is the puppy we got yesterday.

This is the third Dobe we have had in the last 30 plus years.

This big guys name is Blitz and he is just turned 20 weeks old and I think he is gonna be a big boy.

Gino, He looks Awsom. Dobies are a great breed. I had my Mitize back in the 70's. She was my constant companion. She thought I hung the moon.
::nod::

What blood line is he?

Hey CobraBill, that's a fine lookin dog, looks like Gypsy is heavy on the Blue Lacy in her mix. Would you happen to be in Texas?

Gino, I almost contacted you, when I read in this thread that you had had dobies in the past. We've been anticipating adding our first puppy to the family, since moving to a bigger spread. Months I'd been going back & forth between a dobe or ACD, until we decided on the cattle dog. The doberman pinscher is such a majestic breed, that build, & killer look is something to be admired. He looks like he'll turn out to be quite a stud-muffin. And he looks to have some euro blood to him with that bigger bone set. Keep us updated on his growth with some pics. ::tu::

Not in TX I am up in NY wishing I was in TX :D The older I get the more I don't like the cold or snow.
Gypsy is a rescue that came from Mississippi. I guess they have a lot of kill shelters down there. Several rescue operations up here have them sent up to NY for adoption.
She has such a long tail we thought she was part whippet, so we had the DNA test done.
Major parts: German Shepherd and a mix father's side. And Great Pyreneese and a mix mother on the mother's side.
Other mixed in parts: Boston Terrier, Rottweiler, English Fox Hound, Austrian Shepherd, Airedale.
A quote from the vet "That adds up to seven kinds of cute."
I thought for sure there was some Pitt Bull mixed in looking at her ears.
She has grown n to her tail some, but it is still kinda long.

Thanks for the link Jethro. She sure does look like that first picture. Same white marking on her chest, she has white paws also like a Lacy should have.
Gypsy is black on top and dark brown and black on her sides with some longer tan fur on the back of her legs. Colors a lot like a German Shepherd.
I will have to show the Lacy pictures to the wife and kids.
She is a good girl and loves people, and plays well at the dog park with other dogs.
Thanks again.

IN RESPONSE TO THE EMAIL CONCERNING MY DOG

Please be advised I am sick and tired of receiving questions about my dog who mauled six illegal aliens wearing Obama tee shirts, four wearing Pelosi tee shirts, two rappers, nine teenagers with pants hanging down past their cracks, eight customer-service-desk people speaking in broken English, three flag burners, and a Pakistani taxi driver.
FOR THE LAST TIME... THE DOG IS NOT FOR SALE !!!
