Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
I've read that Blue Grass had a license from Winchester (Olin Chemical) and subbed out production to Queen. That's what I've pieced together but have no way of verifying it. OH

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
This has been discussed to death but using all the information I've been able to find and that which has been presented, I've come to the conclusion that Blue Grass may have had the license but they never physically made a knife. I too have no way of verifying that and there are those who will argue that so let 'em. Queen actually made the knives. I have a few late '80s - early '90s black box Winchesters and they are some fine, fine knives (made by Queen).Old Hunter wrote:I've read that Blue Grass had a license from Winchester (Olin Chemical) and subbed out production to Queen. Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Indeed they did. I had a couple of Case Classics (since sold) that were made by Queen and they were excellent knives. There's something just solid feeling about them when you hold them in your hand.

Agreed. I have one left, an Anglo Saxon whittler, used to have more. Wish I hadn't got rid of them.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
........speaking of knives made by other folks, I've got one I've never been able to verify-it's a Moore-Maker split-backspring whittler that was supposedly made from the old Camillus split-backspring tooling, and it is identical as far as I can tell, except for the stampings and handle material???.................

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
A couple of the usual suspects. I'm starting to feel like I need to add another EDC to my rotation. Or maybe that's just my brain trying to justify buying another knife.

Carrying this Colonial auto lately. Not shabby for a $50 US made knife. Beats the heck out of the Logan Smyth my wife's grandfather had.

Since August I've been carrying my #73L non stop, it rides upright in my watch pocket.
Here she is brand new. Since Christmas I have been packing a sweet little stag #25 jack with me. A spear and little clip combination.
I need to get a pic of that one.
