Pawnshop find from earlier this week, went hunting with me this morning - Anvil (Colonial) Stockman. OH

....outstanding!!!..love the bone on that one!!!.....Ivoryman wrote:Knifeaholic fed the addiction for a minute with this old Pal Cutlery Stockman. This is the kind in my book from the great bone to the excellent snap, solid lock up, action, size, fit in the hand, nice everything. All this and old age too. Looks as old as Plain Dave's 85 Bullet End. Sweet.

Thanks, I-man. Still trying to find out what it's really called, but I may be close to determining the pattern's origins. I don't want to make any claims yet. Unfortunately a lot of it is still speculation/educated guesses at this point.
As for today's carries, going with a trapper and a Cryo.

New week, new day, different clothes, different knife. Barlow day. Beauty and the Beast. '15 TC Sheepfoot is a beauty, very silky smooth action, narrow, thin blade, light. But the '83 Case is a beast, authoritative snap, solid as a rock feel, a tank compared to the TC pickup truck. They both get you around, one heavier duty than the other. Both riding my way.

I haven't posted anything here in a while. But for the last couple of weeks, in addition to my trusty SAK Climber it's been this Case chestnut bone sodbuster jr. It's even starting to get some patina.

Never on Sunday but almost every day this is handing on my belt. And a companion for it in my pocket -a CV 6207 six dot Mini Trapper.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Wow Dave, another fabulous something, who makes the dr t? Great looking, looks like translucent micarta. Is that a kind custom like the Mophead? And how long is the wait on the list of that custom maker, and what's the price to get in his line? Thanks everyone for posting, see stuff here all the time I would never see any other way. Thanks all.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Thanks, I-man. It is custom made by David Taber. Check your inbox. I sent you a PM with more info about him. The micarta is a vintage Westinghouse recipe. The reason it looks translucent is because the micarta was made from a type of woven glass. Originally the color was more golden, but it faded some when the Dr. T sanded it. I'm hoping that over time the color will darken a bit more, though I like the current color just fine as well. Check out the pictures below. They show off the woven pattern of the micarta better.
Thanks a lot, Ken. I've been starting to carry it quite a bit. I'm a huge fan of saber ground clips.
