Not Case. The mark is not the maker's name, it's the sellers. J.O'.

Western was guessed too. The original retailer was bought out; then the buyer bought the maker and continued the brand, adding their name to the mark. No longer in business. As stated before, one of the guesses was somewhat relevant. O'.

going to pick on Wilbert with three guesses, although I am unclear on the gone a half century ago bit, if that is the original retailer/Maker or the later owner. But let's try Sears&Roebuck!

Empire and Napanoch are both makers. This knife is marked with the name of the retailer. Neither of those is the maker. The maker of this knife was in NY state, but after the retailer buy-out, the manufacturing was moved to a different maker in another state. J.O'.

This one is American. 100 and some change years old. Would accept the maker or the brand that's stamped on the main blade and tang and pile side of the secondary.
