Old Folder wrote: Fri Mar 18, 2022 8:26 am The latest Rough Rider Reserves are now in stock and shipping from SMKW.
Ordered mine today, Thursday March 17, 2022. Just made it in time for the 10% off discount with free FedEx shipping and free Irish Green SMKW Shop Mat.

Pictures and dimensions that some members have questioned on the Rough Ryder Reserve 014 D2 Original Clasper and the Rough Ryder Reserve 015 OD Green Micarta Hippo Toe are posted within the below pictures.

Smoky has also finally posted many new "In Stock" Rough Ryders today.....Bow Trappers, Baby Bee Flipper, Large G-10 Bumble Bee Linerlock, Barlows etc. etc.

And take a look at the RR1902 (Also pictured below) "Rough Ryder Miniature Cajun Bowie, Full Tang, featuring a mirror polished 440 stainless steel clip point blade with a color-washed smooth bone handle. " Unfortunately, Smokys web designers lost their measuring instruments. (Not the first time.)
I did however look on ALL my measuring devices and could not locate a "Miniature" measurement description. I think this Miniature Bowie would make a good desk letter opener?
Smoky also described this "Miniature" Cajun Bowie's best use as "Camping Hiking" knife."
Now....I do on occasion go Camping and Hiking, but I don't think I would ever strap on a "Miniature" Cajun Bowie knife.
That would be like driving my "Donut car" and carrying my "Dessert Warrior Kalashnikov" to a "Hells Angeles Reunion" and passing out "Smarties" candy to my fellow members. ::teary_eyes::

Donut Car.jpg2022-03-17 (6).png2022-03-17 (7).png2022-03-17 (8).png2022-03-17 (9).png2022-03-17 (10).png2022-03-17 (11).png

Footnote: I am not associated with, nor am I a member of any Motorcycle club. I do not have a full size Donut Car, I do not eat "Smarties" candy. However, I do have all three "Dessert Warrior Kalashnikov" knives.

Dan
I don't blame you for owning the D/W Kal's Dan, they're really cool autos! ::tu:: I liked the "Clasper" the first time I saw it last week, and I still really like it today, and the "Hippo Toe" is still butt-ugly but there's somethin' about it.....! ::hmm:: 8) Oh yah, "Support Your Local Red and White"! LOL!

Just ordered the three latest RRR knives even that strange Hippo Toe.
There's something about the blade I like plus it's only a single blade.
I'm pretty sure I'll like the Clasper and the Lockstock. Maybe the Barlow will be next.

Great order Tim! ::tu:: I like all 3, even the Hippo Toe and for the exact same reasons you like it, the odd shape of the blade and the fact it's a 1-blade knife since I'm a dedicated 1-blade guy. I like the "Clasper" simply for it's overall size, but I'm having trouble picturing the "Lockstock"? The Barlow ain't too shabby either! 8)

We like to think so. Welcome aboard. Grab a rack, stow your gear and get to posting. Any questions just spit 'em out. Someone will field your questions and usually more than one. Everyone was a newbie at some point in time.

Jus received the RRR Clasper and the Hippo Toe.
Fit and finish is great, the Clasper fits great in my hand.
I was most surprised at how slim the Hippo Toe is.
At first I thought I wouldn't like it but I've got to admit it's one of the best patterns they've produced.

I wish I was this good. The scrimshaw was done by an artist named Brian Kiracofe in Rhode Island. The depiction is Newport Harbor.

Just got the Lockstock.
I'm liking it but I've never had a lock back with a half-stop. ::shrug::
The quality of the last three RRR knives are excellent. ::tu::
