Dogg, I see you are well prepared with that big Buck, but I hope you don't hit a deer - last one I hit cost $2000.00 to fix the front of the truck. Ken, that is a magnificent Gunstock! OH

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
......several years ago, I had a '96 mercury wagon..first deer I hit with it cost me a parking light, one airbag and a wash job!!....hit another about a year later and it cost me a windshield,2 airbags and 2 parking lights. I thought about taking it to the body shop and having "deerslayer" painted on the hood and 2 small deer on the door like the WW2 fighter pilots!!!.....garddogg56 wrote:I here ya OH my last one was a MooseOld Hunter wrote:Dogg, I see you are well prepared with that big Buck, but I hope you don't hit a deer - last one I hit cost $2000.00 to fix the front of the truck. Happy July 4th everybody.
Yesterday I was talking to a young co-worker who said "that's when we won our independence from the south right?".
O.K.
Today I'm slipping the Camillus Stockman in one side and wearing a Western 66 for some yard work

Happy Birthday USA!!!!!!!
Happy 4th everyone!
As in any other day, always carry USA made. 1975' and 76' today.
Producer, pretty sad stuff. Amazing how many citizens enjoy living in our fine country but don't care in the least about the history behind it.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
This ancient Boy Scout from an older friend is posted on page 741 as it came to me. He said it was given to him used in 1956 or '57 and was a hand me down. Others have said it's from the '80s. That's a 30 year gap for everyone to fill in as they please, I have no opinion on the date, but there were many decades worth of spooge in and on it that it's now freed from. First couple pics are of it before cleaning, sharpening, Ballistoling. Bit less crud going on now. Bit better looking. Sharper than *#!~.

According to Official Scout Blades by Ed Holbrook, that knife (With the black handle) was produced by Imperial from c.1973-1979.
Those Imperial blades do sharpen up quite nicely.

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Nice knives everyone.
Taking the good ole Camillus slim stockman again.
I have been carrying it a lot lately.
Even though I have a couple of Schrade 61OTs which I love, I find that this particular #69 Camillus is a favorite. It's the oldest of the three #69's I have and has some file work still evident.
Just a neat old knife that slices great and is easy to carry.
Thanks for looking, Harold

A very nice knife in every way. Premium liners and bolsters, gorgeous covers and a very pleasing patina. Hard to beat.
