what do ya'll look like?

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

Cool pics Perry! ::tu::

Jerry had the same question I did! :lol: :lol:

I have some old & pitted knives I EDC because they do get so sharp!
::hmm:: Hmm, I wonder if there is a correlation between the pitting and the edge retention of some of the old carbon steel knives?

Thank you Dale and Brian! ::handshake:: I have wondered about this a lot too Dale, after cleaning this DE Jack a couple weeks ago. It seems extremely sharp and cuts thru anything quickly. What else would you want? There's no evidence of rust anywhere and plenty of pitting but lots of character. ::nod:: The snap is crazy new like,,,, and I have to think there's something to the whole underneath all that rust the carbon still rules the day with a great edge.

Perry, next time you go to the Venetian, you oughta take a ride on one of them fancy gondolas.
When the gondolier starts singin' to ya, you can start singing right back at 'em. ::groove::

I like the Venetian, but the boat ride was a bit of a letdown...

I'll tell ya Mike, after doing it this long, it feels like a job. I don't really like being away from home anymore. My wife says I'm becoming the old man now. Would rather be home and down by the creek or in the basement, killing time with knives than center stage in Vegas but I think that's why I'm still here. Never been that taken with "stars", I have truly been blessed to get to do what I was gifted at. It takes a certain ability to endure in this business as long as I have. Not moving to Nashville till the age of 35 years, I had a lot of catching up to do in a short span of time. Maybe that's why I'm so tired. LOL

They are great pics, '46 ::tu:: Are you a solo act now? I know what you mean about getting tired. I'll soon be 68 and I'm worn out. They've finally come up with a definition of us old Bluegrassers; "A musician who loads a $4000 instrument in a $1000 car, drives 500 miles for a $100 gig!" That's a Bluegrasser!! But I've said it before, youre one lucky feller '46, to be able to make a career doing something that you love to do.

Taken with my cell phone's camera at my cousin's funeral last weekend. He was a hot rod/custom car nut so we all wore hot rod t-shirts to honor him. He would have loved it. This is me, his brother and two other cousins.

The pic in the guy in the red hot rod T-shirt reminds me of a Southern gentleman with a wee streak of ornery! :wink:

Great pics TJ, especially with the family. ::tu::
