SHOW US YOUR PETS!!!

If you can think of something to talk about that is not related to knives, discuss it here.

I read his expression as, "Let's play tug."

Actually it’s “Please, please throw it for me!” If I don’t look at her eventually she will put it in my lap and nudge me with her nose.

She'll fetch until your arm falls off from throwing it. She doesn’t play tug, she’s trained to “deliver to hand”. If you grab it or just put your hand out she’ll give it to you. Then she wants you to throw it again. ::facepalm::

Ken, I get that look about 4 dozen times a day from our Golden Retriever. You have a beautiful dog there.

Thanks Mark. I’ve had three Goldens and five Labs, and they’ve all been great dogs. The one pictured is a British Lab, probably the smartest dog I’ve had. She really deserves a younger owner who could hunt with her more than I do.

Good one, John. Animals let you know when you veer off course from your normal routine, no sleeping in.

That is a great looking dog, Ken. That look is quite familiar to me, and nearly impossible to resist.

Annabelle is earning her keep. This morning she was on her regular patrol when I happened to be in the bathroom and I noticed that she was paying particular attention to something behind the toilet. In the past she has cornered and killed a spider back in that area, so I took a look with a flashlight to see what was going on. What do I see but water dripping on the floor. Seems the seal where the pipe goes into the toilet tank was leaking and ready to fail. A treat and a belly rub for Annabelle.

Here's my boy Cleatus pretending to be a show dog. He'll never win best of show but he's a groundhogs worst nightmare and that's a good thing in my opinion. Someone dropped him near where we live a few years back and he has made his home here ever since. We have three dogs and a cat and all of them are strays we have taken in.

Cletus is obviously a dog of great character. Therefore, that he chose you Phil reflects well upon you. When caring for my friend Otis I learned that he would go after a groundhog with great speed and ferocity. But had he caught the creature I fear he would have suffered greatly as he is hardly bigger than the groundhog.

I had my dog odin last weekend and took him to work on monday. He ran around all day and had a blast.

IMG_7505.JPG

He was zonked on the way home and all evening/night. I think it's funny how he rests his snout on the door. Doesn't seem comfortable at all.
