Charlie, I don't think there is a rule that we only get to see a photo once. That one is a good reason why. ::tu:: ::tu::

I didn't have the knife in my hand when I replied to your post, it was still in the back pocket of the jeans I wore that day. I had it out this morning to cut some rope for my Halloween dummy (which will be hanged by the neck in the front yard  ) and checked for a model number. There is a number etched on the pile side of the tang that may be the model number - 6850. Also etched on the pile side of the blade is the name Ignitor and US Pat.no. Beneath that is an etched signature - K A Steigerwalt. Hope this helps.

Beautiful knives I-man! ::tu:: I REALLY like the 77 Barlow with the wharnie blade, spectacular! 8)
Thanks my friend. I agree, and were I smarter back in the day I would have picked up several. One of my grail knives, all time faves, and just keep liking it more with time. Really should have picked up a few more, but back then a hundred and five clams seemed like so much for a pocket knife. Now it seems a pittance given what they go for. Hind sight and all. Missed a few things. Oh well, least I have one to carry and love on. Thanks Marco, appreciate it.

It helps a LOT! ::tu:: Thanks very much, ::handshake:: it'll make finding one so much easier! ::groove:: Wow, that Ken Steigerwalt has his fingers in so many designs, from the inexpensive right up to the expensive highly collectable models! Thx again! 8)

I hear ya brother. ::dang:: Hindsight is 20-20. ::facepalm:: Can you imagine ::hmm:: where we'd be now had we dumped a few bucks into say, ::idea:: ebay when their stock first hit the market? We'd have collections with $10,000. knives in them! Oh well, what can ya do, ::shrug:: at least I have my 250 or so knives ranging from $25.-$600. that I'm very pleased with, and I know you're happy with what you own too, so it ain't so bad! 8)

Tell me about it Marco. Don't remind me how many chances I missed like that. Oh well, can't go back.

Rookie, that's one absolute beauty. I like how they hafted it, less antler removed around the pin and where it meets the bolster. The more antler left intact, the better to me anyway. Fine specimen.
