I’ll post this up for Y’all to guess and me to learn. I can’t confirm country of origin but U.S company name is on the main blade as well as hammer forged.

Not Boker, think of a maker that isn’t famous for knives(or hardware).

You got it! I recived this in a group it looks to be buffalo horn, I had no box it says hammer forged but the blade finish looks like a Chinese made knife but it doesn’t have China on it anywhere. Any info from y’all on it?

Re: Mystery Knife Game
Your clues led me to my guess. I went through the S&W search before and it seems some were made in Vermont? You can read about it here:
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=42621&hilit=Smith+%26amp%3B+Wesson
This has been rehandled with a white material rather than the yellow cell it had before. Made by another, but a well known stamp.

Lyle, mine doesn’t carry the USA in the stamp that yours does. I found similar knives on eBay but with a model # stamped too and China marked. This is a decent little knife but I’m fairly sure it’s China. I have looked at some S&W elephant toes from the ‘90’s and think they are American made , maybe a Blues Grass hires Case to sublet them to Queen thing like you used to see.

Re: Mystery Knife Game
I enjoyed rereading that thread as my memory needs refreshing, except for the part about that blister on my foot from the pressure canner.
Maybe Camillus made , but that's not the mark.

That was quite a blister in your foot, lucky it didn’t scald your face or torso too! That’s a nice sunfish you got.

Re: Mystery Knife Game
Yeah, the sloshing fluid was weird.
A green bean kernel got stuck in the spout and pressure was trapped even though no steam came out. I just thought the lid was kinda stuck. When I twisted it enough the lid flew off to the opposite corner and crashed into the ceiling. At the same time a mushroom cloud of steam, water, and beans erupted. I threw myself backwards off the planted burnt foot and one hand was also burnt.

Simmons hardware?
Sure glad it wasn’t worse. I canned a lot of stuff with my grandma, and snapped a lot of peas watching the evening news. I was always leery of the pressure cooker as a kid.
