I have a roadside vegetable stand it is behind the house. It’s self service either swipe your card or cash. No change given it’s an air condition ed shed. No cookies pies or cinnamon rolls though. Think I would like that better.

That is pretty cool, Steve! My wife tells me that these self service stands are gaining popularity but this is the only one I have ever seen so far.

It’s been pretty hot here lately and it was hot the day I stopped there too. It was downright COLD inside that shed. It hit me as soon as I opened the door.

I hope yours is a lucrative business. I told the other drivers about it because we all rotate routes and all of them drive past this stand just like I do when they drive the North Route.

It was great to pull over and grab some homemade baked goods and get back on the road. Very convenient because I am often on a tight schedule and can’t venture too far off of the route.

I STOP AT A VEGETABLE STAND. It’s behind the the farm house not on the road.
It is not mine.
My grandparents had a roadside stand about 55-60 years ago. Self service, definitely not an air conditioned shed, no place to swipe a credit card. Put your cash in the #10 can nailed to the post.
Side note my Aunt told me part of the reason that the Schaffter Darleson grocery store went out of business, was because Grandpa gave credit to help people in the day. We sold the small farmet (Some Day Farm) after uncle Jack passed.
