Show off your Maher and Grosh knives

William H. Maher and Emil Grosh started the Maher & Grosh Wholesale Cutlery Co. in 1877 with a goal to sell high quality US manufactured cutlery globally. The original business dissolved in 1988, but the brand has since been resurrected.

Snatched this one as a BIN the other day, although worn it is still a very nice knife. I think it's an El Diablo and I think it was made by Miller Bros.

I have a monster M & G Pruning knife. Thickest, stiffest, sharpest blade in my collection. Blade tang and backspring are 3/16" thick! One of my favorite pieces.

Welcome to AAPK Ridgegrass. ::handshake::
Your Maher and Grosh Pruning knife is a real beauty. It has survived the inflicts of time only by its mfg. quality and owners pride.
I very historical keeper.

Thanks to all. That knife is one I cherish, best steel I've ever seen, razor sharp, scary to handle!
As I am a new AAPK entrant I'd like to say I've been a collector for over 40 years . While I collect almost any old and quality knives, my favorites are Cattaraugus, KA-BAR, New York Knife. any Hawkbills/Pruners, and "oddities". I rarely if ever sell anything but I would trade for things I like. My collection is very extensive, 1500 +, all marks. I'm in Ocean City, MD. Thanks again. J.O'.

PS:Don't have a lot of M&G's. Here's one of the few.
