Dave: The Scout is actually called "The Sportster"

It is a Schrade Walden pattern that was short lived, around the early 50's. Sorry to miss your question last month.

Looking at the swedge on my new S&M single blade jack got me to thinking about this old thread, so I figured it was time to revive it. Queen understands that a strong, deep swedge is one of the marks of a fine traditional knife.

Checking out this thread and drooling.

I think folder swedges are a lot nicer than fixed blade swedges mainly because most fixed blades have them but folders are more rare, especially on newer knives.

Those are all from posts over 10 years old. AAPK has come a long way since then, with capability to do photo hosting here on the site now encouraged, and third party hosting discouraged.

I used Photobucket over 10 years ago for picture storage and posting, didn't have anything to hide, and the issue might be the result of Photobucket's relatively recent requirement for paid service. I chose not to pay.
