I think it looks like it came out of the same mold. There are probably more look alike patterns from one brand to another than we realize.

The socket set (and case) is mostly late 1950s SK Tools and presumably 3/8 drive, but a few of the sockets/extensions are Master by Montgomery Ward (sliding handle breaker bar and an extension), Plomb/Proto (swivel breaker bar), and Craftsman (1/4 ratchet at least). There are also KD ratcheting wrenches (which should save quite a few swear words on some jobs), Craftsman Vise Grips, Utica pliers, and some assorted Craftsman wrenches; some I think are 1950s, but most look like the late '70s, early '80s wrenches I'm used to. There's also a really old t-handle wrench for square nuts/bolts. The General Tools Jeweler's screwdriver appears to be missing a handle.

Tang stamp was used from '41-'83. So narrowing it down, is pretty much hens teeth in a hay stack. But, on further reading, & and digging through the book; I think I've got it!
Closest match i've found so far in the charts, is the No.229, circa 1961, new pearl celluloid. Made for only that year.
Unless there was a small run at a different date, unrecorded, I think we have your knife.

My latest additional is this 74mm Victorinox Elinox advertising pen knife. Did some quick research to find that the advertising on it is for a Swiss sewing thread company. ( Zwicky & Co. AG est. in 1840 ) Their Logo is a cat holding sewing thread. If you look closely, on the red thread roll there is an umbrella. If there is any connection to the umbrella on the Elinox tang stamp? I don't know.

What is the writing on the other blade? It looks to have 4 lines?
I believe the "Elinox" logo ended in 1957.

Thanks Tom.
I was asking about the description of the blade tang stamp because I thought that perhaps it was an older "Wenger Delemont" knife you have.
Just one of the many fortunate things of living in Germany is your ability to find the older Swiss Saks and Wengers that are available to you.

Klein Tools 44004 hawkbill.
I wanted a hawkbill slightly larger than my Spyderco Ladybug Salt Hawkbill; and also plain edge. I really couldn't afford the $70 for a Dragonfly Salt. Klein's Japan-made line is great, and usually affordable. I've had the 44001 for about a year, and love it. This one is slightly larger at 3 1/2" closed (the 44001 is 3 1/8).
While all the USA Kleins have been Utica for decades, I believe Moki makes these for Klein (the 44005RC has the same handle as the Moki MK-920), and they are as good as Spyderco (because Moki makes many Seki Spyders) in my opinion, at half the price. While many people don't view AUS-8 highly, I have no problem with AUS-8. Heck, Spyderco used it for years. This model is a bit cheaper due to the plastic handle. That will not wear like the black anodized aluminum on my 44001. Klein's Utica-made line is garbage. I hope to find a Klein Tools etched Cattaraugus TL-29 (first knife with the Klein name on it); but those are rare as hen's teeth.
I have one problem. I got it heavily discounted ($20; normally the price is about $30) as an Amazon Warehouse deal. These are crapshoots. Most are due to just damaged packaging, while others are returns. Luckily, this is a Klein, and covered by their warranty.

And looks like Solingen Rostfrei on the other stamp. Blads our well used but at 3.543 inches (Jerry
) or 9cm, it should still be a good EDC.
