Nice Ken. I love wooden handles. I will have to look into those Finch knives. I see them in some emails I get from dealers but never bought one. I know you have great taste in knives so this makes me curious.

Thanks, Mark. I've got many flipper knives, but none of them are as smooth as this Finch. I'm not sure what the nomenclature is, but I have no doubt it has ball bearing pivot joints. With practice, the liner-lock release is so smooth and subtle, one can close the blade with one hand. There is no 'snap' in closing the blade, it's just a smooth walk all the way closed...just like opening. The Snakewood is awesome. I'm considering picking up the white Ox bone when it comes back out. The blade is 154CM and came razor sharp...as it should.

PS: Traditionalpocketknives.com is where I got mine. They're the only ones that still had them...and the price point is the same no matter where you find them.

When I saw the Finch "Holliday" posted by Dan, I drooled for several weeks...and then pulled the trigger. I wanted the Ox white smooth bone, but they were out, so I humbled myself and went with the Snakewood. Man, am I impressed with this knife. Smooth as butter on opening & closing. What a well designed knife with outstanding aesthetics. THIS is my new EDC.
Just a gorgeous knife Ken, ::tu:: congratulations! ::handshake:: I too have been drooling over them ever since I first saw one, but previous financial commitments have kept me from pulling the trigger, but those will be cleared up shortly and then, watch out! I'm partial to black ebony wood, so that's the model I'll wait for. Again, nice knife and I hope you enjoy it! 8) P.S.-Have you seen the shield in the dark yet?

Thanks, Mark...you won't go wrong in picking one of these up. And you're right, that black ebony is nice. ::tu:: Hope your situation works itself out and you're able to get one.

As to the shield in the dark...I did take it into a pitch black room (bathroom), but the shield did not glow. Maybe I didn't give it enough time to 'lite up' or I got a shield that doesn't shine in the dark. ::shrug:: It's all good, though. I don't get lost in the dark.

Hey JP that third knife looks like a WW 2 Army Air Corp pilots knife, but I'm no expert and the 2nd one is that a model 12 or 16? With the bone handles I think it would have been made right after the war. All super knives but those two WOW. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::tu:: ::tu:: ::tu::

Floyd,LJ,TMK, Tom, Marco, Thanks for the compliments on these 4 . Had to work a little to get the lot split up and get a fair price, well worth it .
Floyd,The 3 blade with That shield and the steel liners are correct to be the WW2 Army Air Corp knive. Have to confirm the 3 blade configuration though to completely verify . And the 2 blade short line Jack is the #12. So far very pleased . The #10 short line and #50 long line Barlows are going in the pockets for a few days, have never really carried a Barlow much, so good time to try .
Hope you all are having a great weekend . ::handshake::
Take care .
