Pretty much everything.
KIMG1556.JPG
And my socket box. Neatly organized can be a pain in the butt. Sockets do NOT stay in the organizers most cases have. I will be buying 1/4 and 3/8 set cases pretty soon. Plus, an ammo can gives me room to carry more stuff. I have slip-joint pliers, Channellocks, an 8" adjustable wrench, and a junker Leatherman (bad wire cutters and blade that I had to reprofile) in there as well.

Garddogg, that is a gorgeous old Ulster, awesome long pull ,beautifully worn handles. That one gets the adrenaline going .Even worn and maybe not worth much to some, but the old Cutlers sure knew what they were doing ,and this new stuff doesn’t even come close.

Stop-gap solution for now. I've been searching eBay for a decently priced metal socket box. Not being able to go to flea markets, and as most have been cancelled around here, outright sucks. WV still seems to be having a few, however. Urrea (basically, a tool company that got started out as the Mexican arm of Proto) has a few at decent prices, and I've found one that works for the 3/8 sockets. Most of my 1/4 sockets are in the S&K metal boxes, but their blow-molded plastic inserts do a poor job of holding sockets. Open the case, and the sockets are all over the place. And, I've got my Proto catalog out looking at the boxes they have available. Yep, I still prefer using paper catalogs; and quite honestly, I'm surprised they're still printing them, and that tool dealers still give them away. The book is two inches thick!

Hey Cody, check out these socket bosses from Ernst Manufacturing. I like em' so much, I purchased 4 of em' when I was starting to mechanic. Passed them on to Dad, he really likes em' too.

There a bit pricy, but you pay for the quality (Made in the USA).

Thanks doglegg. For a knife that age, I feel like it’s brand spanking new.

Kizer normally doesn't pique my interest--but that one is gorgeous? Do they make it in any darker handle materials?

Cody, I've had this for about 5 years now and do not know the answer to your question. I went thru all the knives shown on the Kizer web site but did not find it. I did find one that looks to be the same pattern with a green handle but it is listed as unavailable.

Carried these old and about worn out Wilbert Cutlery Co. and Electric Congress today. Not much left of them but will get more pocket time. They both still snap and have 1/2 stops, even after all the years they’ve been around .Have a great evening and be safe out there.
