Great information Skip. ::nod::
Now we know when, where and who invented the "Trick Knife", which does come up in occasional discussions.

Good stuff, Skip. I hadn't checked in a couple of days and had a lot of catching up to do. Really liked the snippet on the guy who used his penknife to fight off the bandits who had waylaid him. :D

Thank you Ike. ::handshake:: I am having a blast reading through the newspapers to find anything on cutlery. I am skipping over the homicide and suicide articles, as there are tons of them and they mainly involve the use of straight razors. Anything else is fair game. Eventually, I'm going to expand my search to include ANY knife company, anywhere. ::tu::

Skip, thanks for posting these newspaper clips! Really gives one a sense or flavor of life in early 20th century knife making communities.
