I have this knife that was given to me in the early 80’s from the original owner who was a colonel in the royal army. Can you tell me who the manufacturer is and the approximate date it was made. A value would also be appreciated.
Best regards
Any historical information appreciated

You would be better off to seek out one of the Fairbairn-Sykes specific forums. There are a lot of variations on the FS knives and some of the folks who specialize in collecting them could give you better answers. Values range from 4 digits for the first models (yours isn't one) to under $30 for current production ones. Fakes also abound, thought I think yours is legit. I know just enough about them to know to go ask the experts. Best of luck, let us know what you find.

Cool knife!! What you have here is a "transition" third model F-S knife. It has a third model handle with a second model blade and cross guard. All second models will have the little 'V" where the blade meets the guard, and most third models will not have it. Of course there is a possibility that somebody swapped the handle at a later date but it looks good from the photos. Knife likely made in 1943.

The Broad Arrow indicates British military acceptance.
B2 was the manufacturer's code for Wilkinson.
