Thanks Woodwalker, I'm usually not attracted to stockman or PAL but this one spoke to me and it was really inexpensive ($7.58) including shipping.
And bone catches my eye. Thanks again. ::nod:: ::handshake::

Floyd, I was catching up on the forum a bit and just read your post about the Pal, Wow! $7.58 including shipping, that's a great find. Pals interest me, they are not as plentiful as a lot of the "off-brands" and have an interesting history.
Enjoy that one! ::tu::

It's kinda funny Philip, I was excited about the old 72 variant but the PAL seems to have generated the most feed back and it was really just an after thought. I saw the old bones and for $7.00 I thought why not, someone else will probably snipe me at the end. No one did and I got it. Thanks for your comments and have a Happy Thanksgiving. God bless you folks. ::nod:: ::nod::

As a boy, I used to watch the farmers around Bonham, Texas congregate around the court house on Saturday morning for their weekly meeting of the 'spit and whittle club'. It would fit in perfect with those fellows. Thanks. ::handshake::

It is really nice. Still trying to decide on keep or sell. Currently in a bidding war on a knife that I really want, so I may be selling it sooner rather than keeping it. :shock:

Just got in another Moki Kronos. Amber stag bone with VG-10 stainless. My favorite feature of the Seki made knives is the run up on the blade and backspring. It’s so tight on this one, I couldn’t capture it very well. Love the tight tolerances on these.

Today's trip to the post office produced this pocket knife. Another Geo. Schrade, single blade, wire handle, jack knife. However, this one doesn't have a cap lifter/bottle opener. I gave it a cleaning and here are MY pictures of it.

SSK, Skip if you two were trying to show us the ultimate ends of the spectrum of functioning knives you just did it. Both useful quality knives and eons apart. Great pick ups on both your parts. ::nod:: ::nod:: ::tu:: ::tu::

Here's one that was mailed from Germany on November 6, it arrived today. It is the result of a trade with member TPK. It is only my 2nd Carl Schlieper/Eye Brand, the 1st was a Copperhead and this one is a small Canoe. Appears to be a well made knife, one back spring, beautiful black bone handles.
I might add, it also came with some fancy German Candy for Miss Joy the next thing to a "bombing"! There was also a tennis ball for the dogs. :)
Thanks again, Tom!

This Viper M390 Stag Swayback just arrived all the way from Maniago, Italy (by way of CollectorKnives.net).

It has integral titanium bolsters which make it surprisingly lightweight. Notice the classic Viper radiused backspring & blade spine.

Thanks Willie. I concur. I see they have one coming out in Stag with a Ramfoot main blade. I'll be keeping my eye out for that one.

Obviously "total damage", but it's at least 150 years old. Typical Bulgarian pocket knife "soyka".

Here is my newest, a puukko, not a pocket knife, still on it's way from Finland. One of the least expensive knives that "Scandicraft" sells but i prefer the basic design and the forged blade will be just as super sharp as those in knives costing 3-4 times(or more) as much.

Picked up an A.G. Russell bullet knife in stag last week, just came yesterday. Made in Seki Japan back in the early 90’s. Glad to finally get one of these in stag. Notice the tight fit between blade and backspring. Also the mirror polish on the backspring and liners.
