One more. They say jigged grey bone but the pictures look more like smooth gray bone to me. We'll see when it gets here.

jd that sure looks like smooth bone to me. No jigging marks to be seen. I guess the seller is a newbie.

Jerry, I'm afraid that most of us are sitting on stools in the knife acquisition bar, swearing this one will be our last. "Just one more then I'm going home". But I like the bone and bolsters. Knice pick up. ::tounge::

Floyd, that Wharncliffe blade caught my eye and the bone kept me coming back for another look but it was the bolsters that put the "twitch" in my finger when it was over the buy button. ::facepalm::

Couldn't have said it better myself, jerryd...that's exactly how it happened for me: wharncliffe, bone, bolsters, purchase...in that order.

Not a character flaw (weak will) so much as discriminating taste--for which I salute you. ::tu::

I've got mine in hand and have absolutely no regrets. I think you'll probably feel the same way. ::nod::

Well, it had been since last year that I got me any more pocket knives. SO.....
At lunch, I sat down and found me a couple I just had to have.

I found a couple of Uticas.....

This here Cattle Knife.....
Cattle Knife 1.jpg
AND right along side of it I saw this Stockman I needed.
It has a leather punch on it too..... (Which I thought was pretty cool)

Yep, they are a bit worse for the wear but I think I might be able to clean 'em up and get then to a presentable state.

This arrived in the mail today. Northwoods Harrison Bay with black micarta scales.
This is my first Northwoods knife, and I’m very impressed.
Also, a big thank you to gunman724 in the AAPK store.

Nice!!!! I would love to have a Case Loom Fixer to go with the Ka-Bar.

Well sugar. Looks like it's not a Loom Fixer after all.

"*Another knife with this 31 pattern number is a 3 3/4″ jack knife that most refer to as a whaler or navy knife. Case began manufacturing this knife sometime prior to 1940, and discontinued it in the 70′s."

I hope you find one to go with your Ka-Bar Jerry. ::tu:: It would be nice to find a good Case Loom Fixer some day. Till then this one will do for now. :)
