Queen Canoe Pocketknives
All: Are all Queen Canoe pocketknives built with a single backspring?
I love Queen knives.
Thanks.

I'm going to move your question here. Hopefully you'll get some input .
I've only had one Queen made Canoe. It was a single backspring.

Re: Queen Canoe Pocketknives
Bill: Thanks. I have several Queen Knives and besides Schatt & Morgan and Robeson and Canal Street they are my favorite. I do have an unusual Canal Street full size trapper with D2 blades I got from one of the dealers here.
Thanks again,

This appears to be a very important question for you. I doubt that anyone can say, definitively, whether Queen has ever made/not made a multiple backspring, under any brand, of the Canoe pattern. Unless they have one in hand.
So, when in doubt, I'd suggest giving them a call to see what they may be able to tell you.....

Good luck, and let us know what you find.

Re: Queen Canoe Pocketknives
Queen introduced the Canoe pattern into their product line circa 1975. They have since made it in various logos including Queen, Schatt & Morgan, Queen City, Robeson, John Primble, "Family Tree", and others.
All that I have ever seen have been single backspring.
In fact the only canoe patterns that I have ever observed that have TWO backsprings are Case 131 canoe patterns from about 1985/1986 to the present.
I do not believe that Queen ever tooled theirs up with two backsprings (at least on a regular 2-blade canoe). The canoe whittler of course is a split backspring knife.
