Re: Knife Photography
Even though cooler weather has set in and the leaves are turning there were still some morning glories blooming along the trail this morning when I took the four legged fur face for a walk.

That's a nice shot Charlie. Looks like it could have been taken in the Spring.

Re: Knife Photography
I know, yet it was taken about 0900 this morning less than 100 yards from where I shot the pic I posted yesterday. Go figure. We've been having night time lows in the thirties and daytime highs in the sixties. The Trick-Or-Treaters had a perfect evening yesterday. Winter is coming though, you can feel it in the air.Quick Steel wrote:That's a nice shot Charlie. Looks like it could have been taken in the Spring.

Fabulous stag on the closed one laying on the cyanide reading material. What beauty. The fixed are not bad either. The fungi is out. Mushrooms, toadstools, lichens, moss and such blooming.

Kris, those handles on the Spidies aren't original are they? In any event, they are very handsome.

Thanks IM, great looking knife and fungi!
Thanks much Steve, Sambar stag and gold pins
QS, the Mule teams do not come with handles. My friend put those on, my wifes in S110V and Camatillo, or Mexican Kingwood and my daughters in Maxamet and Redwood lace.
Thanks guys, love seeing all the pics.

Montanaman, Great looking folder. I'm not a spyderman but I can appreciate those two, too. And, Ivoryman, keep it up. I like it.

Thanks geocash, much appreciated.
A favorite pic of mine, Glenn is a very good friend and one of the finest bamboo rod makers in the world, a dying breed of old school. I recently gifted the Menefee drop point to an older hunter friend who was amazed at the quality and fit and finish. The rod is a favorite possession of mine, but it still gets used every chance I can get to the river.

It was a dark and stormy night.
Shot this pic in the calm after the storm this morning.

Don't know why but this picture Immediately brought to mind the movie Avenging Angel with Tom Berenger as Miles Utley, a dark movie in many respects.Sasquach wrote:It was a dark and stormy night.Shot this pic in the calm after the storm this morning.

Re: Knife Photography
Glad to know my photo was thought provoking. Gotta' love a good western! They are few and far between these days, the "space cowboys" have taken over the silver screen. Like the movie Avatar, straight up Cowboys and Indians.....on a distant planet. Just to point out how much movies influence our thinking, the phrase I used is one I remember from a movie I liked called Big Trouble In Little China with Kurt Russel. At the beginning of the movie Jack Burton (Kurt Russel) starts his narration with the phrase "It was a dark and stormy night"...Edgewise wrote:Don't know why but this picture Immediately brought to mind the movie Avenging Angel with Tom Berenger as Miles Utley, a dark movie in many respects.Sasquach wrote:It was a dark and stormy night.Shot this pic in the calm after the storm this morning.

Re: Knife Photography
Naw John, the photos are indifferent. But I was determined to get at least one fall picture with some color. I had to search, really search, to find a couple of red leaves. Mission accomplished, indifferently but accomplished.

Re: Knife Photography
Gentlemen, thanks for the great pictures of the knives and especially the fall foliage we don't get here in the Dallas\Ft Worth area.
And Charlie, I like that big ole Bowie looking knife.
