LA was bombed twice today!
Our son-in-law sent Miss Joy some unexpected spatulas as replacement for the ones he had broken during Thanksgiving.
Joy showed me a strange looking black package that was in the mail box along with her spatulas.
We recognized the name of the sender, so carefully, with my RR trapper's spay blade, I slit the package open. It contained a business card with the following written on the back , "Semper Fi, Phil! Happy belated Marine Corps Birthday! Dale". On the face of the business card was our friend Dale's ORVET CUSTOMS information. The card was attached to a knife box that contained a knife that is slightly smaller than my Camillus pilot survival knife but similar. A kind gesture, much appreciated. Even greater than this is a customized Kershaw he sent me when I had my left knee replaced.
There are some wonderful people here on the AAPK forum and Bro. Dale Vincent is one of the front runners in my opinion!

I am glad you like it Q. The bone was Culpepper's Amber CSB.

I had another Wild Turkey I customized that I really liked, it was done in Culpepper's Amber impala jigged bone. I can't remember who I gave that to but I have to make another one for me because it was my absolute favorite, the jigging gave be a good grip and the bone was gorgeous!
Here are some pictures I took before I had finished it totally, I know I put the etch on a yet at this point, but I think everything else was pretty much finished.

Roger, (Peanut 740) it was just an Avatar. I never expect anything in return for the little things I do and certainly not something like this. I can't wrap my head around the generosity you've shown here over an Avatar but if you think I'm going to send it back, you're just crazy in the head. What a beautiful knife. I'm afraid I don't know how to adequately thank you for this fine piece of cutlery.
