We stopped by the mail box on our way home from Miss Joy's epidural episode and there was a package in there and my 1st thought was W.R.Case could have sent the shield I was expectin' in an envelope. Then I noticed the sender wasn't Case but gsmith7158, . Well I dug into the box and was I ever bombed!! What a wonderful surprise, an unsharpened 6275! I do love the Moose pattern for some strange reason and Greg this one is a real beauty. Do you know about the 199 stamped on the mark side front bolster?
A great way to end a stressful day!

Wow, nice bomb Greg! You got a good'un, TF. I've really become a fan of the Case 75 moose. Fits in hand perfectly with either blade open, uses that wonderful big beefy 75 pattern, nice long and eminently useful spey blade, and it just looks good.

Judging by the non-standard bone handles, that #199 is probably a serial number - it's probably a short run knife. My '80s serialized Cases all look like that, I don't think they started using the long-tailed "C" with the serial numbers until some point in the '90s.

I posted this in GEC, but I forgot to post this knife in the bomb thread…
I was caught with incoming fire from Up North (upnorth)!
Charlie got me good with this one!

For some reason the knives GEC makes for Charlie seem to me to be better than the regular production knives. This Jack has a great pull to it, but it doesn’t rip your fingernails out by the roots!
And look at the jigged bone on this knife! I think it’s my new favorite jigging pattern with the possible exception of Rogers bone or Schrade peach seed bone, but it’s right up there in the top three!

Just as you let your guard down, some young Jarhead gets to feeling his oats and lobs one into your fighting hole. Received a box in today's mail with 313Mike's return address on it. I thought it only fitting to reach into my pocket and drag out the Queen Working Man's knife Mike gave me, with which to open the box. I had just finished, for the second time, the first book (1953) by Leon Uris - Battle Cry. Mike sent On Valor's Side by T. Grady Gallant "A Marine's Own Story of Parris Island and Guadalcanal"

Of course, Mike wouldn't be Mike if he didn't stick something extra in the box. How about a couple of Schrade peanuts. A Schrade Cope and a Schrade 12OT. Mike, your generosity is humbling. Thank you very much.

Well Randy I would be glad to send you some buddy. I have 52 of them. And just moments ago as my no account mailman made his delivery at this late hour I too became the recipient of a bomb of nuclear proportions. One caveat, I knew this was coming and have been watching the mail box all day but I must say this gentleman ,One Tommy Carr [Carmillus} has put me in a state of awe at his generosity and huge heart and must be applauded here. You ain't gonna believe what he sent me.
