Large 6" Joseph Haywood & Co Lockback
This Joseph Haywood & Co. folding hunter dates from 1843 to 1902 according to Levine's. Made in Sheffield. I would guess it was most likely made in the mid to late 1800s. It is about 6 1/8" closed and a little more than 11" open. The scales are wood. Not sure what kind, but they look like ebony to me. There are no cracks or chips, but there are a few dings. The blade locks up tight and has no wobble, but it does have pitting and staining and the end rubs the front liner. Asking $185 or best offer shipped for this big old knife. Payment via USPS money order. Thanks.
