Newest Case Pick-Ups

The W.R. Case & Sons Cutlery Company has a very rich history that began in 1889 when William Russell (“W.R.”), Jean, John, and Andrew Case began fashioning their knives and selling them along a wagon trail in upstate New York. The company has produced countless treasures and it continues to do so as one of the most collected brands in the world.

Yep Larry. those J blades are hard to find. That is certainly a beauty. Congrats! I have a regular pull/ no shield TESTED like that but it has real dark green bone and is pretty used up. Looks like a contract knife on mine. Great find!

Well this certainly isn't in the same class as Larry's outstanding old cigar moose...but I am pretty happy to have lucked into this 1972 6235 1/2 with some beautiful Red bone covers! Some spotting on the blades but still has factory edges and appears to be uncarried. I haven't seen too many 1970's Case knives with such a deep dark red coloring like this one..and both sides match perfectly too! .lousy pics, will take better when time allows.

Those 70's jacks are some of the best knives Case ever made in my opinion. Great red bone on that one as well.
Thanks for posting!

Here's a new to me '40 - '64 barlow I just got in. The blades were almost black with crust and tarnish and the main was tipped, and the edges were jagged, but I spent some time cleaning her up and some more time on the stones, and managed to uncover what I think is a beautiful old survivor! The uniqueness of the bone is what drew me to it to start, I think it has alot of character...(still snappy with crisp half stops and no wobble by the way!)
