ANOTHER DISCONTINUED UNIT
i actually use the LARGER WEGNER (same exact knife, larger) more...but really like this one!
i EDC the large quite often-pics of that soon  ::tu::

SPYDERCO TIM WEGNER JR.
C49
BLACK G10

The Tim Wegner Jr. C49 is the smaller version of the C48 Tim Wegner, from the same designer which is the knife’s namesake, obviously. The C49 was only made for two years and so is considerably more rare than the C48.

Here's one just like what Jerryd posted that his cousin got in Hawaii. Got mine from a chemical salesman in LA many years ago. The box is stamped "Copyright 1997". This little knife has a chisel grind and as you can see is serrated. Open it measures 6 3/4", closed it is 3 3/8". The locking device is a piece of spring wire, works very well and is super sharp! The clip can be moved to 4 different positions, they must have been pretty cheap for the salesman to be givin' 'em out as "bait".

junebug, that's good to know! Never paid much attention to this knife, have used it as a scalpel on occasion :) . That E-bay page had some interesting blades for that model. What do reckon they sold for when they 1st came out?
