Dating a Cattaraugus Scout knife by the tang stamps?

Anyone an expert at dating Cattaraugus knives by their tang stamp configuation?

Below are my "42211c" Scout Knife w Compass (there is no pattern number on any blade), and wondered if these stamps help identify the year the knife was made, or narrow down the range of years?

Unfortunately Cattaraugus did not change its tang stamp much if at all during the years it was in business. This can make dating them difficult unless you are familiar with the construction of knives from different time periods. I would suggest posting photos showing the whole knife. Seeing the whole knife may help more knowledgeable collectors date it.

I looked up the patent number and found that it corresponds to a combination compass and knife. The patent was granted November 3, 1914. This means your knife was made sometime after that date. The link below has more information on the patent.
