Do I Really Have to Tell Him?

Post by Dragunski »

This guy's been selling knives for 23 years. Do I really have to tell him that this is not a "Horse" knife with a special horse "huff" cleaning blade?

Anybody can see that it's a rooster nutter.

Go ahead and tell him. Point him to closed auctions for "rooster nutter". There are ten of them like his.

It's becoming quite clear that just because someone collects knives (me) or sells knives, it doesn't mean they are an expert on all knives. Too much to expect.

I agree with Jerry maybe after 23 years, his gears are not running as fast as they use to. People do make honest mistakes.

I don't know where my brain is. It just hit me. That's Mike Lathams auction. I sent the following message to him through eBay.

"Hey Mike

When did that old Rooster Nutter castration knife turn into a "horse knife"? Are ya working too hard these days? LOL"

Edit: Mike responded. Just a brain fart. He changed his auction.

He indeed changed the listing. He also raised the price from $100 to $125. A bit steep for a veterinary knife.
