Queen and JBF Champlin

Well we have made a deal and our next offering will be made by Queen Cutlery and we are very happy to be working with the Daniels Family on this and future projects. The idea has not changed for us at JBF Champlin Cutlery. We are still going to be picking old patterns and have them made they way a knife was made in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Please go to our website and see more of what we are doing. The picture attached is of the box label for our next offering.

We will be at the Queen show with more info and also a write-up about the history of our next offering.

Hi and thanks for the question. The bone handled knives will be natural but oiled not colored, The shield will be the same as on the newest Queen toothpick, I went to the factory and looked over the shields and picked that one because it was different and wanted something Queen to be on the knife since they were making it. The secondary blades will be a pen and a coping blade, I really like the coping blade, it will not be split back spring but made the way Cattaraugus made them years ago and if you have an old Cat whittler you can see the construction. The construction is all steel and the blades are 1095 with a satin finish which in my opinion makes them look more vintage.

The handle material will be 50 smooth bone and 50 with the Rosewood handles, of course they come in boxes and we will be adding something in the box like we always do, Mike

Yes I really wish something could be done but the cost!!!!

You know, the big thing down this way is to gut the building and rebuild the whole interior with new wiring, plumbing and all of today's modern upgrades. Wonder if anyone has thought about doing that and making it into a knife museum, hotel and restaurant? Not sure what's also in that area to see and do.
