Nice pair of venerable oldies, Doug! I especially like that old Camillus. Nice find!

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
It is pretty. However, I don't know much about the maker or their product other than what I've read in the literature that came with the knife. They are touted as being 100% hand made in America (Blaine, Washington) from 100% American materials.
The handle is American elk or deer antler and the blade is American 1095 high carbon tool steel.
They come with a limited lifetime warranty.
For me the jury is still out on how well it performs. It seems to be very well made and the blade takes a good edge. It's 9.5" long over-all with a 4.25" blade. The sheath is okay but not of the same high quality as the knife in my opinion.
I'll post my opinion of the knife after I've had it out in the field a couple of times. So far I'm impressed and after looking around on the net I've found that they offer a pretty varied line of knives and short swords. Their prices aren't terribly high either.....fairly reasonable. I was pleased to find that I got mine for about 65% of retail cost. I really like the fact that it's 100% American and if this one proves to be as durable and useful as it is beautiful........I'll be a loyal customer.

No, I bought it from a friends collection. However when I was researching it to see if I got a good price I found Silver Stag skinners for sale at the links below. If you google the brand name you'll find even more.garddogg56 wrote:Charlie did ya order her on the net?? if so what site.

Charlie, when I get asked that question about my guns, I answer with this line; 'more than I need and not as many as I want'!

I don't know but yesterday the font on all the posts was very large. Now it's back to what I'm used to seeing. Maybe they were working on the server or something. Can you see the pics today?

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Busy Saturday and try to practice contentment with what I already own. The Opinel #9 is always near at hand in my PDA case. Nice to have a 110 sized knife nearby at all times for a fraction of the weight. This is THE knife I have to have.
But with my "I can handle pretty much anything life throws at me" itch scratched, I'm feeling more free to cycle other knives through my RFP. The Ulster Scout has been getting more pocket time but mostly it's the Schrade 5OT. My son is playing Little League and that means setting around shaving the ends off sticks. The smaller knives are just perfect for this. The 5OT really handles everything except for food and beer prep.
JPD, how bout you and I just watch the others spend money vicariously?

Re: WHAT ARE YOU CARRYIN RIGHT NOW? WHAT IS YOUR FAV EDC?
Yesterday I decided to get out and carry the pocket knife I have owned the longest (41 years); this Buck 301, and carry it next to my wallet in my rear jeans pocket - I used it for one cutting chore. This morning I am getting ready to leave for Sunday School and Church - I will be carrying the little 12OT because it wears nicely in the front pocket of my dress slacks. When I come home I will change to shorts (have a baseball game to coach this afternoon) and will carry what has become my favorite EDC, this medium size Frontier stockman.

Sounds like a fine plan Oldhunter.
This little German gent's jack knife gets the call for Sunday go-to-meetin' duty this week. Haven't Made up my mind on what I'm gonna' do when I get back so I haven't chosen a carry yet.
