who makes this?
i have a pocket knife my dad gave me when i was a boy. its made from what appears to be rosewood. the tang says bear hunter on one side and soligen stainless440 on the other side. it is a 2 blade folding pocket knife.. i would like some info on what it is that i have.

I think the Bear Hunter was a German made Schrade, in the LB6 or 7 mode. I guess it came after the close of the factory and before the China made knives.

EDIT: Come to think of it that pattern was stamped SCHRADE, so this Bear Hunter is not likely the same.

I think it may be one of the offerings from Frost. Could be China or could be made in the same factory as H&R.

he says his dad gave it to him when he was a boy.. i don't think he is boy now. so it isn't a newer knife.

Ahhh...reread the OP, missed that it was a 2-blade knife. Not a Frost then.

wb, they are all new knives. also his older one is a 2 blade bear hunter. even schrades older bear hunters were single blade folders.

Now that I think about it, wasn't it Boker that did a Bear Hunter brand a few years back?
