Grand Old Gunstock Jacks

Most of you have seen this one before on another thread but I thought what the heck I'll show it again here. It's a beefy knife and one of the few stag handled knives I own.

Thanks MB. I still like it too... even if there is a possibility that it didn't start out a gunstock shape.

I didn't see this almost a year ago when you posted. I think you're right, it's modified to be a gunstock. I noticed the pivot pin is off center and it looks like the knife was originally a "coke bottle" or as some call it, "coffin jack". It doesn't matter, it's a sweet old knife and they did a bang up job on the modification. No safe queens in those days, eh?

I don't agree that the knife has been modified. The knife was found by a picker in a house many years ago. It has been looked over by many knife guys in the NCCA and it is good as it gets.
