hi becko thats a standard sized barlow, they used that stamp around 1973 to present according to my stamp chart, but we all know the old schrade went under, so about 1973-somehwere around 2004.

The Ratman is correct. Here is a similar Barlow marked with the SCC stamp. It is a 506, because it was used for one of the Scrimshaw series'...but I believe it is the same frame, just different handle material. This one was made in 1980.

thanks muskrat man and bill
Thank you Muskrat man and Bill for the information- I couldn't find any other knives stamped that way but felt sure it was Schrade 206-- I think maybe the others are special editions or something that have the full Schrade USA written out, and this one was the normal 206 maybe? not sure my paternal grandfather died in '82, so i know it predates that. Thanks both of you for your help that's an attractive handle on the 506 barlow--
