Will it be a 2011 with 9 dots or like the one pictured (a 2003 I think?)? Not to hijack this thread but I've often wondered about the pictures knife companies use when selling Case commemorative knives. Sometimes it's year/dot accurate, sometimes it's not.

I BOUGHT THE 1997 LADY DI KNIFE. IT REMINDS ME OF WATCHING THE WEDDING WITH MY MOM. I COLLECT THE WACKIEST STUFF,NOT JUST KNIVES. I AM VERY OPEN MINDED ABOUT COLLECTIBLES.MAYBE TO MUCH ACID IN THE OLD DAYS. CASE , PARKER , ETC. ARE SMART. THEY MADE LOTS OF DOUGH BECAUSE PEOPLE LOVE CRAZY KNIVES. I THINK POOR QUALITY COMPLAINTS OF KNIFE COMPANIES IS A BETTER REASON TO AVOID THEIR PRODUCTS.

THIS IS AN INTERESTING SUBJECT TO ME. PRODUCT QUALITY AND PRODUCT STYLE OR DESIGN OR WHATEVER. CASE QUALITY WENT DOWN IN THE 80'S AND 90'S, COINCIDENTALLY WITH THE INTRODUCTION OF THE COLLECTORS KNIFE. I GUESS AFTER SO MANY PEOPLE BOUGHT THE REGULAR KNIVES TO COLLECT OVER THE YEARS,BECAUSE OF THEIR QUALITY AND BEAUTY ,THE COLLECTABLE KNIVES STARTED BEING MADE. EVERYTHING FROM NUMBERED EDITION THIS AND THAT, COMMEMORATIVE STAG AND EVERYTHING, ECT. ETC. RACE CAR EDITIONS.PRETTY BLUE SCROLL PRINT ON THE BLADES. THESE WERE NOT REALLY MADE FOR THE CONSUMER TO USE. I LOVE AND HATE MANY OF THESE KNIVES DEPENDING ON QUALITY AND APPEAL. I HAVE PLENTY OF THEM. HOW ABOUT FIGHTIN' ROOSTER? HIGH QUALITY PRODUCT TOTALLY MADE TO COLLECT.YOU COULD USE THEM IF YOU LIKE BUT THE DECORATIVE BLADES AND HANDLES WILL NOT LOOK AS COOL WHEN BEAT UP AS AN OLD REGULAR ISSUE KNIFE. HOW ABOUT GREAT EASTERN? SUPER HIGH QUALITY KNIFE. THE DESIGNS WOULD BE WAY COOLER TO ME IF THERE WAS NOTHING PRINTED ON THE BLADES AND NO NUMBERS ENGRAVED ON THE BOLSTERS. ACTUALLY THERE BOLSTERS STILL LOOK OK BECAUSE THE NUMBERS LOOK PRETTY UNLIKE SOME COMPANIES THAT ENGRAVE NUMBERS IN AN UGLY WAY. I DEFINITELY DONT WANT TO SEE 1 OF 50 PRINTED ON THE BLADE. UGGLY.THAT JUST RUINS IT FOR ME. I LOVE COLLECTIBLES WHEN THEY LOOK GOOD.
