Been workin' on a few projects lately...I carved this base today fer a carving I completed a lil' while ago...from a design by carver extraordinaire, Gary Falin...

Sorry Mike, I didn't answer yer question....I used various palm tools (u gouges and v-tools) and knives, the knives I use are a mixture of carving knives and pocket knives...basically whichever happens to be sharper at the time :mrgreen:
