Tuna Valley Cutlery Co., Excelsior Knife Co., & Napanoch Knife Co. are three popular brands currently controlled by The Daniels family. Pretty knife

I agree with "most folks". The result is another pretty knife.

Thanks Bill ... I think the ratcliffe shares the curve more like a traditional wharncliffe as compared to the longer factory "improved muskrat" blade, which is actually more like an elongated sheepsfoot blade. ::tu::
pffffft that's not a knife ......... now THAT'S a knife !! Crocodile Dundee

Thanks guys. The knifemaker had 5 of each ready when I stopped over the weekend to grab one of each for pictures. He was working on finishing the rest soon, and all are headed out to dealers.

Kevin are you going to the Canton, OH show this coming weekend, or the Knoxville knife show end of May? I'm going to both of those.

Hey Carl, I definitely won't be in Canton and probably won't go to Knoxville either since they are both 4-5 hours from me. I've been to a few shows recently within a couple of hours of where I live and definitely plan to make the Lexington show in August. Do you think you'll be able to make the trip to Lexington this year?

The next from the Titusville Coffin Jack pattern, which is nearly completed. There were 30 of each made of these, in blue mammoth crosscut ivory, and blue mammoth bark ivory. Pretty snazzy handles.

The slender, swaged spear w/ long pull on those Lexingtonians (and the Mortician) are so perfect....second only to a Wharncliffe ::tu:: and the array of exotic handles on your group is mighty fine. Might have to start calling you Kevin Exotic 8)

Mahalo, Q! ::handshake:: Agree with your assessment of the slender long pull swaged spear, but maybe not so much on the nickname.

My wife brought home groceries to make lunchtime salads, and I thought I could swipe them for a nice knife photo background. This is the latest Tuna Valley release, 4 different types of wood handles on the Mountain Cougar pattern. Only 15 of each were made. All use 154CM steel blades and springs.

That is a beautiful knife Tinpan. Very unique color of giraffe bone, and I always loved that cotton sampler blade.

The newest Cougar knives come in 4 types of horn handles, with clip blades. I quite like these ones. They should be heading out to dealers next week. Happy 4th of July everyone, enjoy a hotdog!
