Very strange, but helpful request

Post by MissouriGuerrilla »

Hey folks,
I have a large undertaking of cleaning my garage so I can arrange everything and decorate the way I want to. I wanted to hang some knife pinups and ads that were in some knife magazines (centerfolds in SMKW catalogs, CRKT catalogs, etc) and, much to my horror, they somehow got accidentally thrown out. ::teary_eyes::
I was wondering if any of you had anything just lying around like that to help me replace what I lost. Not asking for alot. Like I said, just anything you have lying around or taking up space. I'd truly appreciate it. ::tu::

I don't have anything to add but don't feel bad. Things get accidently
tossed at my house all the time. I hope some people can chip in
to help you out.

Is "accidently tossed" the same as wife downsizing your stuff? lol

I have no posters for you, only sympathies ::teary_eyes::

My workspace and things get disrespected or lost or broken or thrown away all the time. Now I understand why my dad got so upset when I'd use his tools and leave them laying around. Do I really sound just like him when I'm going on about my tools being where they belong so when i need them i can find them? Yes. I do.

Check your local thrift stores. You might get lucky and score a stack of old Outdoor Life magazines or something similar.

That's my Etsy store where I sell old knives and sometimes handmade knife accessories to support my knife habbit. Thanks for looking my friend. ::tu::

I have a spare one of these I can send you. It's about the size of a sheet of writing paper, but it's yours if you want it.

My sister throws away anything that's not useful to her, and she doesn't do anything. So it all goes . . .

I saw some retro tinplate knife signs on eBay, not sure if that helps? ::shrug::

My problem was I went through some magazines and catalogs of different things some time back and I put the "keep" things with the "toss" things in the same box to save space. I forgot the keep things were still there and, in my stress and not properly thinking, I thought it was all a toss box and everything went. ::dang:: ::uc:: ::teary_eyes:: Was pretty bummed once I realized what happened because there were some good centerfolds in the last SMKW catalogs and good pics in a CRKT catalog I had. I stood with my hands on my hips, took a deep breath like ::disgust::

I can probably send you a few of these if there are any that interest you, and I may have a few more SMKW catalogs around here somewhere.
