Help identify maker of old carving knife set

I just picked up this set of carving fork and knife at an estate sale would appear to be bone or stag handles with Sterling or plated silver bolsters?
I am having a heck of a time with the makers mark. It’s oval and I can make out the word cutlery company and it looks to me like a Canon over some lines in the center part.
Does this look familiar to anyone?

The ferrules look more like nickel silver to me. If sterling they would usually be so marked.

Yes, I found out after posting this that they would be marked Sterling if so. Nickel silver is fine with me.

Thank you for the help! Half the fun for me collecting is finding out who made these things. After sending my first post, I cleaned it up further and was able to deduce New Britain, Connecticut, and I figured it out on my own. I believe I found the same post given above.
