Lovely wife and lovely knife. Very thoughtful of her. And i do agree about the Persimmon Orange being better than their Orange Synthetic. A lot more classy.

Mahalo, woody The 6.5 BS was one of my earliest Case obsessions. I believe every serious or casual Case collector should have at least one 6.5 knife. I think it is one of Case's most unique, ubiquitous and proprietary handle materials.

Picked up this Ivory Kirinite TBI1028 which will probably be the final installment in my Teardrop sub-collection unless I can find any more Wharncliffe blade versions (028W) that I don't have. For a synthetic material, the Kirinite is remarkably similar to genuine Elephant Ivory in appearance; might could fool a novice collector, and the "I" prefix in the pattern number tang stamp only adds to the potential misperception that it's genuine ivory.
